Frank is 65 years old, been drinking for 30 years
Trying to forget the past
He's living on the streets and every night he meets
His beloved wife and little Lucy, Lucy come back to me

Back in the days when he was young
the future shined brighter than the sun
He and his wife were so in love, she was his moon and his stars
Had a little baby girl called Lucy,
the day she was born he was oh so happy
Life was perfect all in all, but that shouldn't hold for long

Lucy got weaker day by day,
he was holding her hand as her life faded away
On that day her mother couldn't stop to cry,
the next day she comitted suicide
Devastated in the dark and all alone he didn't know how to carry on
And trying to run away from this pain he started drinking every day

Then he lost his Job for beeing drunk at work
He was crying for help but they only felt disturbed
Kicked out of his house for he could no longer pay the rent
Oh how desperately did he need a helping hand
But nobody was there so he ended up living on the streets
They call him a bum, a loser and a creep
But Frank could be you and Frank could be me
